Three suspects for hoarding Isopropyl alcohol were arrested in an entrapment operation of Bulacan Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in San Rafael town on Sunday.
Police Colonel Lawrence B. Cajipe, acting provincial director of PNP Bulacan, identified the arrested suspects as Marvin Verdillo, 27; Jose Rafael De Guzman, 36; and John Patrick Enriquez, 32.
Based from the report of CIDG, an undercover police was able to order 73 bottles of one liter Isopropyl alcohol from Verdillo for the price of PhP220 per liter.
The suggested retail price per liter of alcohol is PhP125 to PhP130, according to the Department of Trade and Industry.
The suspects will be sued for violation of Republic Act 7581 as amended by RA 10623 (Price Act), RA 7394 (Consumer Act), and Section 7 of RA 11332 (hoarding, profiteering, selling and refilling).
