Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando issued Executive Order No. 19, series of 2020 that lists the guidelines to be followed under the General Community Quarantine in the province from June 1 to 15, 2020.
According to the executive order, minimum health protocols including use of face masks, physical distancing, thermal scanning, regular sanitation, no spitting, and proper hygiene must be observed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other communicable disease.
The EO also made it clear that travel and movement of all persons in the province shall be limited to accessing essential goods and services, and for work in the offices or industries permitted to operate hereunder; and movement for leisure purposes shall not be allowed.
“Huwag po nating kalilimutan na ang GCQ ay isa pa ring quarantine measure. Pinapayagan na po nitong makabalik sa trabaho ang mga manggagawa na kabilang sa mga industriyang pinahihintulutan na ng IATF ngunit hindi nangangahulugan na maaari na tayong bumalik na normal nating pamumuhay. Naririyan pa rin ang banta ng sakit na dala ng pandemya at hindi pa rin tayo ligtas mula rito,” Fernando said.
The governor added that pregnant women, persons who are immune-deficient or compromised, or with other health risks, or between 18 and 20 or above 59 years old are not allowed outside of their residences, except when buying or selling or availing of essential goods and services, or to work on permitted industries.
Persons below 18 shall not be allowed to go out except when accompanied by a parent or guardian and is to seek medical attention or has to attend to a similar emergency.
Mass gatherings such as, but not limited to movie screenings, concerts, sporting events, entertainment activities, community assemblies, and non-essential work gatherings are still prohibited; while work in all government offices may be either at full operational capacity or under alternative work arrangement in accordance with the relevant rules and regulations issued by the Civil Service Commission.
