Back in the days, women were slaves; they do household chores for someone, stay at home, and basically, were owned. It was the norm for a woman. People believed that women can’t do what men can do, cliché right? That’s the truth. When your partner said, he can’t be with you because he liked someone else, it hurt. That’s the truth. But now, as generation changes, what causes women to be enslaved is love. Love can be a harmful thing. You will be surprised to do things that you’re not even capable of doing. Love can make you, or break you. How did I know that? Love has made me, but in the end, it has broken me, physically, like a toy.
Have you ever met Love? Love gives you happiness every day. Love is intense. You can see love at school, in the cafeteria, in your house and it even helps you with your homework. Love cooks for you, Love cares for you, Love brings flowers every Valentine’s day and Love gives you medicine if you have got the flu. Love kisses you energy of positivity and encourages you to be the person you want to be. Love comforts you when you have anxiety and self-doubt. Love never lets you feel ugly. Love makes you beautiful.
As time passes by, Love changes too. Love suddenly fades. Love turned into anger every day. Suddenly, you don’t see Love at school. It is somewhere dark with chains. What happened to you, my Love? Love lets me starve, craving for care, affection, and gentle touch. Love gives me pains as kissed marks turned into death marks. Love still gives me flowers but flowers of dead happy moments. Love, you told me I don’t deserve to get hurt, but you’re hurting me. I can’t breathe. Love is now the cause of my anxiety and self-doubt. I am pretty, right, Love? Pretty enough to be destroyed.
But, the Woman has had enough of your childish act. Woman will set herself free. Woman has a life to live, not for Love to ruin. Woman is the master of her own destiny; she chose to love, depend and fight for herself. Woman met self-love; it is pure, so good that she found her own happiness within herself. Meeting Self-Love made Woman empowered and life has become meaningful. That’s it, Love! I don’t want to be your toy anymore. I’m tired of loving you. I’m starting to love myself.
I am a WOMAN, Love, don’t play me. I am a HUMAN, Love, respect me.
